Merci Montréal — An Incentive Trip to Canada
Recently, our client, AAA Life Insurance, reached out to us to help them plan an incentive trip that rewarded their Top Producers of 2018. While working with our client, we were able to plan a unique experience that celebrated the accomplishments of their top employees for all of their hard work during the past year. The fun-filled weekend took place in Montréal, Canada, a big, busy, and exhilarating city filled with plenty of activities that our guests could immerse themselves in. Guests arrived to our host hotel, the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, in the exciting city on a Friday evening and were greeted with a welcome dinner at La Société Montréal, a quaint, authentic, French-styled bistro located in the heart of the city. The dinner allowed guests to familiarize themselves with the thrilling culture of the city and begin to settle in for the weekend.
The next morning, guests attended morning meetings that were led by a motivational speaker that helped set the mood for the rest of their trip and the upcoming sales year by inspiring participants. Following the morning’s seminars, the guests broke into three separate groups that partook in various afternoon activities around Montréal. Guests were able to choose between a Biking Tour of Mont Royale, White Water Rafting in the St. Lawrence River, or in a Walking Tour of Old Port. That evening, guests were treated to a spin on La Grande Roue De Montréal, the largest observation wheel in North America, to get a bird’s eye view of their weekend’s host city (not to mention some pretty Instagram worthy shots. The group then headed to a riverfront dinner in Old Port Montréal in a VIP Lounge that overlooked the first performance of the Montréal International Fireworks Competition.
On our final day in Montréal, guests were able to enjoy a day on their own, but prior to heading into to the city they had the opportunity to meet with Andrea Soudein, a local Montréal concierge with Altitude Connections, who helped them plan their perfect day in Montréal. As an added bonus, we happened to be staying at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth hotel while they were celebrating the 50th anniversary of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s famous “Bed in for Peace”, which was staged at the hotel 50 years prior. The suite where the famed couple stayed and recorded the hit song “Give Peace a Chance" had been re-done and guests were treated to private tours of the suite.
Any incentive trip isn’t truly complete without taking the time to honor in grand accord, the achievements of the top producing sales representatives on the trip. We kept our grand gala location “top secret” all weekend, so guests were elated and surprised when they arrived at Cirque Eloize, a Cirque du Soleil style performance and event facility for their gala evening. Trampoline bartenders were shaking cocktails and causing a stir as they bounced through the air doing tricks atop the wall behind the bar, but that was just the beginning of the spectacular evening. A three-course plated dinner took place around a stage where a silks performer and bungee performer captivated audiences with their aerial performances. The evening cultivated in the grand gala program as attendees received heir awards, received a dedication from their CEO, and danced the night away.
